Institutional author profile

The Research Desk.

Authorship, editorial standards, independence and correction practices for research published by the China Auto Ledger Research Desk.

01 · Byline

A desk, not a fictional expert.

The Research Desk byline is used when a note is produced from China Auto Ledger’s documented source-admission, mapping and review process rather than from the opinion of one named writer.

We do not invent author biographies, credentials or first-hand experience. When a named analyst materially authors future work, that person will receive a separate profile and byline.

02 · Work

What the desk is responsible for.

  • Identifying and retaining official public records.
  • Reviewing model and market identity mappings.
  • Preserving statistical definitions, periods and source licences.
  • Refusing calculations when facts are not comparable.
  • Publishing corrections without silently replacing prior records.
03 · Review

Every note has an evidence route.

A research note is publishable only when every lead value resolves to an admitted source fact with an exact period, definition, coverage statement, verification date and licence.

Editorial prose may explain what the record establishes, but it cannot expand the metric beyond the source definition or turn missing evidence into an estimate.

04 · Independence

Subjects do not approve coverage.

The desk is independent of the manufacturers, agencies and data publishers named in its work. Source attribution identifies provenance and does not imply endorsement.

Commercial relationships, sponsored research or commissioned work will be disclosed on the relevant page if introduced in the future. None is claimed for the current research notes.

05 · Accountability

Challenge the record.

Readers can inspect the evidence page linked from every note and submit a correction with a public source. The desk records the claim, evidence, decision and replacement rather than editing history invisibly.
